CAMERON TUMMEL

 

Cameron Tummel is a professional percussionist and drum circle facilitator dedicated to the rhythmic development of individuals in colleges, businesses, schools, and communities. Cameron has been awarded financial sponsorship from the Santa Barbara Bowl Foundation's Education Outreach program every year since 2001 to provide his 'Rhythms of Cooperation and Leadership' curriculum for thousands of students in Santa Barbara public schools. Tummel has provided drum circles for hundreds of schools, students of all ages, throughout California and the United States, and has facilitated drum circles and drum circle facilitation training in Germany, Switzerland, England, Austria, Italy, and Canada. Tummel has an MFA in World Percussion from California Institute of the Arts, a BA in History and World Religions from the University of California at Santa Cruz, and is a Village Music Circles certified drum circle facilitator. Tummel apprenticed with master drum circle facilitator Arthur Hull for more than 20 years, and was an instructional assistant and/or mentor for the Village Music Circles Facilitators' Hawaii Playshops 1995, '96, '97, '98, '99, '00, '01, '02, '08, and 2015. Tummel started to train drum circle facilitators(dfc) in all over the world since he became a trainer of advanced facilitation trainings given by Arthur Hull in Hawaii.  Many dfcs gathered from overseas to Hawaii for the purpose of attending his trainnings.
